Wolfhart Pannenberg memahami dimensi eskatologis sebagai unsur penting dalam diskursus tentang Kerajaan Allah. Sayangnya, unsur penting ini sering diabaikan dalam diskursus teologi pada umumnya yang membatasi tema tentang Kerajaan Allah dalam konteks akhir zaman dan memutuskannya dari kehidupan manusia sehari-hari. Tulisan ini hendak mengulas pemikiran Pannenberg tentang Kerajaan Allah, yang berdimensi eskatologis dan sekaligus terkait erat dengan keterlibatan umat Kristen di dalam dunia. Penulis menyatakan bahwa Pannenberg memahami Kerajaan Allah sebagai fondasi bagi keberadaan gereja dan harapan akan terwujudnya Kerajaan Allah di dunia ini mendorong gereja untuk secara aktif mewujudkan nilai-nilai Kerajaan Allah di dunia dengan terlibat dalam dunia.
