Analisis intertekstual Galatia 1:15–16 kerap difokuskan pada alusi terhadap Yesaya 49, Yesaya 42, and Yeremia 1.5. Bertolak dari kesamaan dan perbedaan antara narasi panggilan Paul dengan narasi panggilan Yesaya dan Yeremia, artikel ini berargumen bahwa Paul kemungkinan sedang menggemakan suatu tradisi kenabian yang lebih luas, yang dikenal dengan prophetic call narratives. Dengan menggunakan analisis Norman Habel mengenai prophetic call narratives, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa konteksi intertekstual dalam Galatia 1:15–16 dapat diperluas hingga ke narasi panggilan Musa dan Gideon. Karena itu, narasi panggilan Musa dan Gideon dapat berfungsi sebagai kerangka interpretatif dalam memahami narasi panggilan Paul secara lebih utuh.
